Sofia Airport to Pamporovo Transfer
We reply to every inquiry with a price within 15 minutes.
A private transfer from Sofia Airport to Pamporovo is priced on request: send us your flight, passengers and ski bags and we reply almost immediately with one fixed price for the whole vehicle – a sedan for up to 4, a long-base minivan for up to 6 or a long-base minibus for up to 8. The first 140 km to Plovdiv take about 1 h 30 min on the motorway, then comes the mountain road through the Rhodopes, which makes it the longest of our ski transfers. We work 24/7, there is no prepayment, waiting at the airport is free when your flight is delayed, and child seats cost nothing extra.
We work 24/7 and answer right away.

We reply to every inquiry with a price within 15 minutes.
Pamporovo is not on our standard price list, so we quote it on request. Once confirmed, the price is for the whole vehicle and does not change, and you pay nothing until the day you travel. Four of you with ski or snowboard gear? Ask for the minivan: the sedan takes up to 4 passengers, but four people with ski gear need the bigger car.
One price for the whole car, not per seat
Many ski transfers to Pamporovo are sold per seat in a shared shuttle: you pay for each person, wait for other flights and stop at other hotels on the way up. Our quote works differently. It is one price for the whole vehicle, so the bigger your party, the less each of you pays, and the car leaves the airport when you do.
Ski bags are part of the plan, not an extra charge per bag. Tell us what you are carrying and we choose a vehicle with room for it. If you split the cost among friends, the sum is easy: the confirmed price divided by the number of people in the car.
How long is the drive from Sofia Airport to Pamporovo?
It is the longest of the ski transfers from Sofia, in two parts. From the airport the car joins the Trakia motorway to Plovdiv: about 140 km and around 1 h 30 min, the same road as our Sofia Airport to Plovdiv transfer.
After Plovdiv the road turns south through Asenovgrad and climbs into the Rhodopes along the river valley, past Chepelare and up to the resort. This mountain section is slower than the motorway, and after fresh snow it takes longer again. When you book, our coordinator gives you a realistic journey time for your day and the weather.
Where does the driver meet me?
In the arrivals hall at Sofia Airport. Send us your flight number when you book: our dispatchers follow arriving flights, so if your plane is late the driver comes at the actual landing time. When the delay is caused by your flight, waiting at the airport is free and has no time limit. You also get the driver’s details on WhatsApp or Viber.
Because the drive is long, the return pickup from Pamporovo is earlier than many people expect. Our coordinator suggests an exact pickup time when you book; at the hotel the driver waits 15 minutes from the agreed time.
Can I bring skis and snowboards?
Yes. When you book, tell us how many ski or snowboard bags, boot bags and suitcases you are bringing, and we will confirm a vehicle that takes everything in one trip.
- Sedan / Estate: fine for two people with skis.
- Minivan, long base: the one to book for four people with ski gear, or up to six adults.
- Minibus, long base: up to eight skiers with their bags, still one price for the whole vehicle.

Hiring equipment in Pamporovo instead of bringing it? Tell us, because it can mean a smaller vehicle and a lower quote. A snowboard bag counts like a ski bag, and boot bags and helmets are extra pieces; on a drive this long, nobody wants them on their lap.
How do I pay?
On the day of travel, in cash or by card. There is no prepayment, and the price we confirm when you book is the price you pay. Bank transfer is also possible – just tell us what suits you when you book.
Pamporovo, Bansko or Borovets?
If you have not booked the resort yet, the transfer is part of the decision. Borovets is the closest to Sofia Airport, at about 75 km and 1 h 30 min (66 EUR in a sedan). Bansko is about 160 km and 2 h 15 min (95 EUR in a sedan). Pamporovo is further, but many families choose it for its gentle slopes and quieter feel.
Flying into Plovdiv instead of Sofia? We drive from Plovdiv Airport to Pamporovo too – ask us for the price.
How do I book?
Send us your hotel in Pamporovo, both flight numbers, the number of passengers and children, and your ski bags. Call +359 897 227 771, message us on WhatsApp, write in the chat or use the booking form. We reply almost immediately with the vehicle, the fixed price for the whole vehicle and the pickup times.
Planning the longer drive to Pamporovo with children
Pamporovo is a favourite with UK families for its gentle slopes, but it is also the furthest of our ski transfers from Sofia. A little planning makes the journey far easier for younger skiers.
Share the full picture when you book
Send both flight numbers, the hotel, the number of children and the seats they need, plus every ski bag and boot bag. We reply almost immediately with the vehicle and a fixed price for the whole vehicle.
Meet the driver at Terminal 1 or 2
Your English-speaking driver waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a sign showing your name. If the flight is late, the driver waits for free and with no time limit.
Motorway first, mountains second
Around 1 h 30 min on the motorway to Plovdiv, then the slower Rhodope road via Asenovgrad and Chepelare. A stop on the way can be added to the plan if you ask when you book.
On the way home, the long drive means an earlier hotel pickup than many families expect. Book the return together with the arrival and our coordinator will build in a sensible margin for the mountain road and the weather.
Snow and the Rhodope road: when to set off
The motorway to Plovdiv is the easy part. The slower stretch is the climb from Asenovgrad past Chepelare, and that is where snow changes the journey time. For this reason we do not give one fixed time for Pamporovo: our coordinator looks at your flight and the weather and suggests the pickup.
- Flight home to the UK: expect a morning pickup for an afternoon flight. Two hours at the airport, the 1 h 30 min motorway section and the mountain road all go into the calculation.
- Heavy snow before departure day: we move the pickup earlier rather than cut the margin at the airport.
- Arriving on a snowy evening: the driver meets your flight as usual; the mountain section simply takes longer, so let the hotel know you may arrive later.
If the forecast turns during your holiday, send us a WhatsApp message and we will review the pickup time with you.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a transfer from Sofia Airport to Pamporovo?
Pamporovo is priced on request. Send us your flight, the number of passengers and your ski bags, and we will reply almost immediately with a fixed price for the whole vehicle. There is no prepayment.
Is the price per seat or for the whole car?
For the whole car. You do not pay per passenger and you do not share the vehicle with other travellers. The price we confirm covers the car, the driver and your ski bags, and it stays the same however many of you travel, up to the vehicle’s seats.
How long does the drive from Sofia Airport to Pamporovo take?
It is the longest of our ski transfers from Sofia. The first part to Plovdiv is about 140 km and 1 h 30 min on the motorway; after that comes the mountain road through the Rhodopes, and our coordinator gives you a realistic time for your day when you book.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes for you. We follow your flight, and when the delay is caused by your flight, waiting at Sofia Airport is free and has no time limit.
Will four of us with skis fit in a sedan?
No, ask for the long-base minivan. The sedan takes up to 4 passengers, but four people with ski or snowboard gear need the minivan.
Can we stop on the way?
Yes. Tell us when you book if you need a stop, for example for food shopping before the resort, and we will include it in the plan and the price.
Do you have child seats?
Yes, free of charge: baby seats, child seats and booster seats. Tell us how many children are with you and which seats they need, and we fit them before the driver sets off for the airport.
Can I book the return from Pamporovo to Sofia Airport now?
Yes, and we recommend it. Send us your departure flight and we will suggest a pickup time with a margin for the mountain road; at the hotel the driver waits 15 minutes from the agreed time.
Where do we meet the driver at Sofia Airport?
In the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight uses, Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. The driver holds a sign with your name, and the driver’s details are sent to you on WhatsApp or Viber.
We land late in the evening. Can we still go straight to Pamporovo?
Yes. We work 24/7 and track every flight, so the driver is there whenever you actually land. Tell us your arrival time when you book and our coordinator will give you a realistic journey time for that evening.
Is there room for skis, snowboards and boot bags?
Yes, if we know what you are bringing. List the ski or snowboard bags, boot bags and suitcases when you book. Four skiers with their kit need the long-base minivan rather than a sedan.
We are flying from the UK. Sofia or Plovdiv Airport?
Whichever has the better flight for you. From Sofia we drive the motorway to Plovdiv and then up into the Rhodopes. If you land at Plovdiv Airport, we drive from there to Pamporovo too; ask us for the price.
Can we pay in pounds sterling?
Yes. Cash in pounds is accepted, as well as euro, and you can also pay by card. Nothing is paid in advance.
How early do we leave Pamporovo for a flight back to the UK?
Earlier than from Bansko or Borovets, because this is our longest ski transfer. Send us the departure flight and our coordinator suggests a pickup with a margin for the mountain road and for snow.
Is our flight time UK time or local time?
The arrival time on your airline booking is local Sofia time, two hours ahead of the UK. Send us the flight number and the driver works from the real landing time.
Are the cars ready for snow on the Rhodope road?
Yes. In the winter season we drive on winter tyres, as Bulgarian rules require. Fresh snow mostly affects the climb after Asenovgrad, so we plan the time with the weather, not only the distance.
Can you pick us up from a hotel or address instead of the airport?
Yes. If you spend a night in Sofia or Plovdiv first, the driver collects you from your hotel or any address and drives you to Pamporovo. Send us the address with your booking and we include it in the quote.
We are a group of more than eight. Can you take us all?
Yes. For larger groups we plan several minivans or minibuses for the same flight, with enough room for every ski bag. The total for the group is quoted on request.
